"A Strategic Framework on Alternative Education for Out-of-school Adolescents in Latin America and the Caribbean"
This strategic framework on alternative education aims to provide a tool to national and sub-national governments, and providers in Latin America and the Caribbean that facilitates the strengthening of alternative education, or its equivalent in their countries. It contributes to the objective of offering the millions of out-of-school adolescents girls and boys with educational opportunities to re-engage in their education. Allowing them to develop the skills and knowledge needed to thrive.
The framework focuses on various strategies for change that, accordingly to global evidence, have contribute to the effectiveness of programmes, with the objective of reintegrating out-of-school adolescents, ensuring successful educational pathways, and developing the skills and knowledge that will enable them to thrive and achieve their goals, as well as contribute to the development of their communities and countries
